I just saw an episode of Oprah about animals and of course animal owners. I was impressed of the whole episode for I, myself is an animal lover and what I learned during that episode is that even animals do need best friends and they can be as loyal to their friend as they want to.

What touched me the most was the story of Tara, an elephant and Bella, a dog. As what I have seen the video the two of them are really close to each other’s hearts. Tara would be seen following Bella and Bella would play with Tara as well. I don’t know much about animal behaviors but what I have seen is such an interesting sight that I could not afford to not write about it. As the episode continued, it was revealed that Bella was once been hospitalized and what’s more amazing? It was when it was also revealed that during those days that Bella was hospitalized, Tara would often come and visit her friend, Bella. Even though they are both animals they have showed signs of friendship and loyalty beyond the imaginations and sometimes beyond what we can do as humans.

Tara did not left Bella alone and just joined with the other elephants but instead visited her. As the saying goes “that’s what friends are for” really applies to their friendship. As humans, we can learn a lot from them. That we should always treasure our friends for we might not know that they will be the ones who would catch us, who would be there during our times of struggles, who would uplift us when we are depressed. We should not take them for granted for as we know they are already part of our lives and taking them for granted is not an option.

Share them secrets… Have an overnight at their houses… Do home works with them… Laugh with them… Lean on them… Cry on them… For that’s what friends are for.
